Gabriela D. Olteanu
Biography
Gabriela D. Olteanu is an international lawyer with parallel law degrees in the civil-law and common-law systems. Prior to joining the Moore Tax Law Group, Ms. Olteanu was a tax manager in the Chicago office of the National Tax Group, International Tax Services, at Ernst & Young, where she handled highly complex domestic and cross-border M&A and corporate restructuring transactions, including inbound and outbound reorganizations, stock and asset sales, and inversions. The focus of Ms. Olteanu’s responsibilities included researching and analyzing the intricate U.S. federal income tax issues arising in such transactions, and drafting the accompanying step-plan presentations, tax opinions, and memoranda.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Ms. Olteanu obtained her LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. While attending the Tax Program, she served as a research assistant for Philip F. Postlewaite, Professor of Law and Director of the Tax Program, and assisted with editing treatises and supplements, and drafting and editing articles, on international and partnership tax law.
