Awards and Honors

  • Zhanna Ziering was named the Best Lawyers 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for work in Litigation and Controversy -Tax in New York City.  This award is bestowed to only one lawyer with the highest average of votes in their particular practice and region, indicative of a stellar reputation and work ethic. For 2023, only 5,484 lawyers, 0.4% of all practicing U.S. lawyers, across the country were presented this award.  In addition, Ms. Ziering has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America for her work in Litigation and Controversy – Tax since 2021.  
  • Guinevere Moore was recognized by the Best Lawyers in America 2023 for work in Litigation and Controversy-Tax.  The 29th edition of The Best Lawyers in America recognizes only the top 5.3% of elite lawyers in the nation across 150 practice areas and selects the recipients of the honor through exhaustive peer-review process.   
  • Guinevere Moore was recognized as Highly Regarded Practitioner for Tax Controversy work in the United States by International Tax Review—World Tax, 2022.  Moore Tax Law Group congratulates our managing partner on such well-deserved achievement!
  • Moore Tax Law Group LLC was ranked by 2022 Chambers High Net Worth Guide under the new practice area Tax: Private Client.  The Chambers HNW Guide recognized Moore Tax Law Group to be “widely regarded as a great boutique firm handling tricky tax controversy matters.’”  The firm is described as having “considerable experience representing high net worth individuals and closely held businesses in federal tax disputes.”  An interviewee remarks included in the Guide: “Moore Law Group is a fantastic boutique with in-depth experience.   • Guinevere Moore is selected among America’s Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys for Illinois in 2022.  This honor is awarded to only 100 attorneys in Illinois who demonstrated years of exceptional advocacy, ethical standards, and extraordinary accomplishments in White-Collar and/or General Criminal Defense matters.

  • Aaron M. Esman is awarded the 2022-2023 John S. Nolan Fellowship.  Moore Tax Law Group congratulates Aaron M. Esman for being awarded the John S. Nolan Fellowship by the American Bar Association Tax Section.  Aaron is one of the six attorneys in the nation to be awarded the Fellowship.  Nolan Fellowship is awarded to individuals who are actively involved in the Section and have demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to the Section’s mission.
